MoS Jitendra Singh, J-K guv discuss flood relief work

Union Minister of State for PMO, Jitendra Singh today discussed with Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra various issues pertaining to the state including the relief and rehabilitation work in flood-affected areas.

"Dr Singh discussed with the Governor the ongoing relief and rehabilitation work in the Valley on account of recent floods and issues relating to the cross International Border and the Line of Control firing in the Jammu region," an official spokesman said after the meeting at Raj Bhawan here.

They also discussed existing issues relating to the educational sector and the quality of research being undertaken in the professional and educational institutions in J&K, the spokesman said.
 

The Governor, who is the Chairman of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, discussed with Singh the urgent need for installation of highly dependable weather forecast systems for the safe conduct of the annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
