Most wanted PLFI ultra killed

An ultra belonging to the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI), who was wanted in nine murder and extortion cases, has been killed in suspected factional fighting in Khunti district, the police said today.

The body of Gudia, the area commander of the PLFI, was found near Gumpila forest under Torpa police station this morning, Superintendent of Police Anish Gupta said here.

In all, nine cases of murder and extortion were registered against Gudia with the Torpa police station, he said.

The PLFI, a splinter group of the CPI(Maoist), is locked in a turf war with the mother organisation and other splinter groups in Khunti, Gumla and Simdega districts and bordering parts of Ranchi, the police said.
