Prices of moth and malka rose by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today due to pick-up in demand from retailers amid lower arrivals from producing regions.

Marketmen said apart from pick-up in demand from retailers, restricted arrivals from producing regions, mainly led to the rise in moth and malka prices.

In the national capital, moth moved up by Rs 200 to Rs 5,100-5,400, while malka local and best traded higher by the same margin to Rs 6,000-6,300 and Rs 6,200-6,300 per quintal, respectively.
