Three women members of a family, including a mother-daughter duo, allegedly committed suicide near here this afternoon, police said.
All three hanged themselves in their house in Karapa village of East Godavari district, a police official said.
The deceased were identified as Satti Dhanalaxmi (35), her daughter Satti Vistnavi Devi (17) and another family member Rasamsetti Satya Veni (45), he said.
Exact reason for the suicide was not yet known, but it is suspected the trio ended their lives due to family problems, the official said.
