A mother-daughter duo was killed today when their house allegedly collapsed in Kanhai area here, police said.
The incident took place this morning in village Utras when Mamta (35) and her daughter Kajal (10) were in their house, when the building collapsed, killing them on the spot, they said.
According to the police, the continuous rainfall since the past few days could have weakened the foundation of the house.
The bodies were removed from the debris with the help of villagers and sent for postmortem, they added.
