Claimed to be in a rarest of rare case, mother and daughter suffered heart attacks simultaneously and being operated within 12 hour's difference in a city hospital.
The 64-year old Sabiyamma of Udhgamandalam developed chest pain and profuse sweat when on pilgrimage to Umrah to Mecca one month ago, but carried out it and returned back.
As she developed chest pain some days later, her son bought her to K G Hospital here and doctors examined and found Sabiyamma has Triple Vessel Disease (TVD), Dr G Bhakthavathsalam, chairman of the Hospital told reporters today.

Both of them had undergone bypass surgery simultaneously, to save their lives, which was extremely rare, Bhakthavathsalam said.
Cardiothoracic surgeon, P Srinivasa Reddy carried out the surgery one after the other, each taking four hours and after four days they recovered and discharged, he said.
