Mother fighting for justice for her daughter

The girl who is unable to continue her studies and carry out normal activities a kid does is hospitalised in Delhi cantt for the last several months for survival of vision in her other eye which was also affected after damage to her left eye.

Piya was studying in class I when a teacher of Tagore Public School in Jhunjhunu district allegedly punished her for not completing the homework.

"The teacher beat Piya and she received injuries in her left eye but despite that the school did not inform us on time. We took her to hospital where doctors diagnosed severe injuries and recommended operation", Sonu Chaudhary, the mother of the girl said.

 

"Eight operations have been performed so far but the vision has been completely lost. Now the pressure is on her right eye and she is hospitalised since September last year in Delhi where doctors are tyring to save the vision in her second eye", she said.

"I met the chief minister several times demanding justice for my daughter. He assured me justice and help but no action against the school was taken. We have spent around Rs 12 lakh on treatment of the girl", she said.

Chaudhary informed that as interim relief, the government gave Rs 25,000 and later Rs one lakh from the CM's relief fund last year but after that there no help.

The father of the girl is a Hawaldar in the Army. (MORE)
