A mother-son duo were killed when a motorcycle they were riding was on was hit by a bus at Itkauli village here, police said.
Arif (25) and his mother Fatima Banu (55) died when the bus of Uttar Pradesh Road Transport Corporation hit the motorcycle they were riding on last evening in Gosaiganj area of the village, they said.
Following the incident, irate locals blocked the road for three hours, police said.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Shiv Bahadur Singh announced a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh.
