A mother-son duo was killed after a fire broke out at their house located in densely populated area of Jorian Bhattian here today, police said.
People saw the smoke billowing out of the house at around 10:30 PM and informed the police and the fire brigade, they said.
The deceased have been identified as Reeta Kumari (57) and her son Vijay (35).
"Investigation in the matter has been started and a team of forensic experts has been called to ascertain actual cause of the incident," said SSP Gurmeet Chauhan.
