The Falnir road in the city, named after Mother Teresa by the state government a few years back, but continued to be known by its earlier name, has now got a signboard to make the nomenclature official.

The Milagres parish community today installed a signboard reading 'Mother Teresa road' at Kankanady junction, the starting point of the road.

The board was unveiled by Sister Bernadette, superior of the Mother Teresa convent here.

She thanked the state government, mayor and others for their support. Mayor Jacintha Alfred, Corporators Vinay Raj, Naveen D'Souza and Milagres parish priest Fr Valerian D'Souza were among those present.
