Rakesh Kumar was taken into custody by a team of Vigilance Bureau (VB) and the raiding party recovered Rs 34 lakhs and 1.4 kgs of opium during search of his residence, VB sources said.
Rakesh, posted here, also had an additional charge of Fatehgarh Sahib district.
