A motorcyclist died tonight in the southern fringes of the city, after he collided with a truck in the Thakurpukur area, the police said.
Atidranath Bairagi (29) collided with a truck while riding his motorcycle close to the 3A bus stand in Thakurpukur shortly after 10 PM, a senior officer of the Thakurpukur police station said.
The victim's body has been sent for post mortem and the truck driver has been detained, he added.
