The Burdwan university has signed an MOU with the centre to preserve medinical plants in three tea gardens of West Bengal's Burdwan district today.
The MOU was signed between director of Botanical survey of India Paramjit Singh and the university vice chancellor Smriti Kumar Sarcar here today.
A four member team of the Botanical survey of India visited the university to survey the medicinal plants at the Kolapbagh, Bagabagh and Krishnapur tea garden areas today following which the MOU was signed.
Singh said there were lot of medicinal plants in the the three tea gardens which were required to be preserved for which the MOU was signed.
