In a bid to curb rampant illegal mining of sand in Madhya Pradesh, the district administration here today initiated action under National Security Act (NSA) against six miners.
"On the proposal initiated by Superintendent of Police (SP), Anil Singh Kushwaha, district administration took action under NSA against six illegal sand miners to curb the menace," Bhind Collector, Illaiyaraja T said.
The action was taken against Kripal Singh, Banti Rajput, Pavan Sharma, Vinod Singh, Banti Dikshit and Jeevan Singh Bhadoria, he said.

They are already in jail for their alleged involvement in various crimes including mining and now they are booked under NSA also, he said.
The action will sent a stern message to others indulging in illegal minng and nobody would be spared, the Collector added.
