The seven-day adventure tourism camp being conducted by Indore Tourism Promotion Council at Choral dam has received enthusiastic response from tourists including foreigners, in its bid to project Madhya Pradesh as hot tourism destination, a top official said today.
"Over five thousand visitors, including foreigners, mostly from Europe, have taken part in various adventure sports in the last four days", said Indore Tourism Promotion Council CEO Vishal Nadkarni.
Numerous sports including air balloon, para-gliding, ringo ride, water surfing, para sailing, banana ride, river cross for all age groups are being hosted at the event, being held in Mhow district, in collaboration with Satpura Adventure Sports Company of Pachmari.

He said in a bid to invite more participation, the package for the adventure camp has been slashed gradually.
"Since 2010, a number of adventurous sports were increased and the package's tariff was reduced drastically on the daily basis instead of weekly package tariff to woo school and college students and general public so that they could afford it", Nadkarni said.
Earlier, a week-long package used to come between Rs 2000 to Rs 4000, but now a one-day tailor-made offering costs Rs 700 inclusive of lunch and cultural evening on a "no profit no loss" basis.
Nadkarni said most of the participants are thrilled by banana ride in Choral dam.
He said in the aftermath of a minor mishap involving district collector during the banana ride, security and medical facility have been stepped up by the administration.
"There is no complimentary pass or freebies, and even most of the senior state officers have bought tickets", he quipped.
