The Madhya Pradesh government banned controversial movie 'Messenger of God-2' in the state and directed all district collectors and Superintendents of Police to ensure that it is not exhibited in their respective areas.

"We have banned the movie since it contains some objectionable scenes against a particular community," Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur told PTI.

The movie has been banned for having objectionable scenes and remarks against the tribal community which had agitated for a ban on the movie in the state, he said.

MP Home Secretary D P Gupta said that orders banning the movie in the state have been issued since it may cause law and order problems.

Collectors and SPs of all districts in the state have been asked to ensure that the movie should not be exhibited in any movie hall under their jurisdiction.

The movie which features Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insaan is a sequel to 'MSG, The Messenger,' which was released earlier this year.
