Chouhan, BJP General Secretary Narendra Singh Tomar, state's Chief Secretary R Parsuram, and commissioners of Chambal and Gwalior divisions flew in a helicopter over the area to find out the availability of government land, officials sources said.
The helicopter first landed near Kiratpur village of Bhind district, then in Sitapur Banmore area in Morena district, and finally at Mohna in Gwalior district.
Chouhan later said nearly 1,800 acres of revenue land was available in Bhind, Morena, Gwalior and Shivpuri districts, where industrialists would be invited to set up units during Global Investors Meet at Indore, which starts on October 28.
The state government would ensure that half the jobs in the planned industrial belt would be given to the locals, he said.
Locals, including tribals, highlighted the water and power problems in the area, and demanded permanent land leases.
Chouhan assured that his government was considering the issues seriously, sources said.
