MP CM expands cabinet by inducting four ministers

With Assembly elections in mind, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expanded his cabinet today, by inducting four new ministers, including two of cabinet rank.

Vijay Shah and Antar Singh Arya took oath as cabinet ministers, while Ram Dayal Ahirwar and Dashrath Singh Lodhi took oath as ministers of state.

The first three have staged a return to the cabinet, while Lodhi is a new comer.

Among the ministers newly sworn-in, two are tribals, one is from a scheduled caste and another is from an other backward caste (OBC) community.

Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav administered the oath of office and secrecy to the ministers at a function in the Raj Bhawan.
 

With the induction of the four ministers, the total strength of the cabinet has reached 35, including the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister himself and leaves no more vacancies.
