MP, Delhi win national junior throwball championship

Madhya Pradesh boys lifted their third title at the 24th National Junior Throwball Championship while Delhi won the girl's crown, played at Old Campion ground here.

In the boys group Madhya Pradesh defending champions Delhi 15-9 and 15-13 while Delhi defeated Bihar 15-6 and 15-10 yesterday to win the girls title, said Madhya Pradesh Throwball Association in a release.

Tamil Nadu girls secured third place by beating Madhya Pradesh 15-12 and 15-11.

Madhya Pradesh captain Chandrakant Harde was adjudged the best player in the boys section while Kumari Pooja of Delhi won the prize in the girls category.

Rajya Sabha member and federation patron, Vijay Lakshmi Sadho, MP Home Minister Umashankar Gupta, MP Thowball Association Secretary Avinash Burbure and Sajid Ali congratulated the MP team on winning the championship.
 

The winning teams were awarded trophies jointly by Director Delhi Darbar, Amita Shrivastava, District Congress President P C Sharma and Sajid Ali.
