The decision to remove Lanco Amarkantak was taken by the cabinet at its meeting yesterday.

State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra told reporters today the company, based at Pathadi in neighbouring Chhattisgarh, was blacklisted as it was not ready to supply power to the state as per the MoU.

"Since the company has now decided to abide by the MoU, it was removed from the black list," he said.

The Madhya Pradesh government had inked an MoU with the company for supplying 300 MW power in the year 2005, but refused to do so later, following which the state government had blacklisted it.
