The Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday hiked the reward for passing on information on food adulteration from of Rs 11,000 to Rs 25,000, said Health Minister Tulsi Silawat.
Silawat has been at the head of a campaign since July 19 this year to nab food adulterators in the state.
"The reward for those passing information on food adulteration to authorities has been increased from Rs 11,000 to Rs 25,000. The informer's name will be kept secret," he told PTI.
Since the campaign began, two milk traders from Ujjain and Gwalior have been jailed under the National Security Act.
