Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav and state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today congratulated scientists for pulling off the maiden Mars mission.
"Indian scientists have created history by placing 'Mangalyaan' in the orbit of Mars and enhanced country's glory," an official release said quoting the governor.
"The scientists have proved India's quantum jump towards self-reliance in science and technology and the country is second to none in the world," he said, adding that ISRO chief K Radhakrishnan and concerning scientists deserve all praise for cost-effective Mars Mission in the world.

"I congratulate Indian scientific community at ISRO, people of India and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on this tremendous scientific feat," he said in a tweet.
"Jai Hind. India is first Asian nation to enter Mars orbit, that too in the first attempt. What more joy can our scientists at ISRO give. Respect..," Chouhan said in another tweet.
The chief minister borrowed Modi's popular slogan for Lok Sabha campaign, saying that the achievement is akin to "acche din" (good days).
