Calling the oldest litigant in the Ayodhya-Babri Masjid dispute case, Mohammad Hashim Ansari as "a true nationalist", Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur today welcomed his decision to stay away from the Ram Janmabhoomi dispute case.

"Mohammad Hashim Ansari is a true nationalist who believes in India's 'sanatan' culture. I welcome his decision to stay away from the Ram Janmabhoomi dispute case," the MP Home Minister said in a statement here.

Gaur also urged all political parties, leaders and religious heads to welcome Hashmi's statement to establish the statue of Lord Ram from a makeshift tent to a grand temple.

He also criticised those who found fault with Hashmi's statement by citing legal angles and advised them not to do so in the interest of the nation's development, it's culure and unity.

Gaur said that Hashmi's statement has paved the way for the construction of a Ram temple at Ayodhya.

He said that courts and intellectuals have always favoured an amicable solution to the dispute and suggested others involved in the matter to follow Hashmi on the issue.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that the country has attained new heights of development under his leadership and even Hashmi has said that Modi has concern for all sections of the society which everyone should understand.
