The Madhya Pradesh Assembly was adjourned for the day today after paying rich tributes to the four Army personnel killed in Pakistani shelling along the LoC in Rajouri and to former MLAs who died recently.
Besides the martyred jawans, including rifleman Ram Awatar who hailed from Gwalior, Speaker Sitasharan Sharma mentioned about the death of former speaker Shriniwas Tiwari and ex-MLAs Suresh Seth, Puran Singh Bedia, Tatulal Ahirwar, Keshar Bai Damar and others.
The Budget session of the state Assembly commenced yesterday.

During his address, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recited some verses from scriptures to pay tribute to the martyred jawans. He hailed the former speaker as the most influential leader of the Vindhya region of the state.
Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh, Deputy Speaker Rajendra Singh, MLAs Girish Gautam (BJP) and Sheela Tyagi (BSP) also recalled contribution of the dparted leaders.
The House was adjourned after observing a two-minute silence as a mark of respect.
