Madhya Pradesh Power Minister Paras Chandra Jain today dismissed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's claim that electricity rates in Delhi are much lower compared to the BJP-ruled state.
"Kejriwal's claim is not worth commenting. But I want to tell you that the power rates in Madhya Pradesh are lower than (Delhi) rates," Jain told reporters after a programme.
He said cultivators in Madhya Pradesh get a subsidy from government for improving their income.

Replying to a question, Jain conceded that power consumers, especially domestic connection holders, in the state are facing problems due to the calculation methodology of discoms.
"There is a bit problem with the the power bills of... (domestic consumers). But we will solve this problem in next 20-25 days," he said.
Jain was here to attend a foundation stone laying ceremony of the 900 KW solar power plant at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport.
