"The brand equity of the state should be established in the world in such a manner that it attracts investment, in view of the encouraging response received from the potential investors during the recent tour," Chouhan said, addressing officials here.
Industries Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya and Chief Secretary R Parsuram were present on this occasion.
The Chief Minister, who returned from tour of Japan, South Korea and Singapore yesterday, directed officials to make arrangements for holding a Global Investors Meet at Indore.
He advised them to form sector-wise teams for attracting investment and added that he himself will meet investors and entrepreneurs every Monday for one hour.
Madhya Pradesh's tourism sector had a great potential, the Chief Minister said, adding that while tourism in other countries flourished with the help of artificial structures, the state was lagging behind despite having natural tourist spots.
If the sites such as Bhopal's Upper Lake, Van Vihar, National Parks, Tiger Reserves, World Heritage sites like Khajuraho, Sanchi and Bhim Baithika, natural islands in the reservoirs, etc, were projected in the right way, that would lure the tourists, he said.
