MP police team launches manhunt to nab Mahadev Ghati dacoits

Three people were kidnapped by unidentified dacoits last night from Mahadev Ghati, demanding a ransom of Rs 10 lakh for their release.

Identified as Kalyan Dhakad (36), his brother, Champalal Dhakad (30) and brother-in-law Purshottam (33), the three were on their way to Magardha from Dulara village in the district, when the incident took place.

When they reached Mahadev Ghati, dacoits kidnapped them at gunpoint and took them into the forest.

This morning, they allowed Kalyan to go home and to get Rs 10 lakh ransom to secure the safe release of his brother and brother-in-law.

Later, Kalyan informed the police about the incident after which police teams launched a hunt to nab the dacoits. So far, the police has not succeeded in its efforts.
