Six BJP candidates, including Minister of State for Health Mahendra Hardia, today filed nominations for the November 25 Assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh.
These candidates from the city took out a joint rally from historic Rajbada where they paid obeisance to erstwhile ruler of Indore, Ahilyabai Holkar, and went to the District Electoral Officer to file their papers.
Indore MP Sumitra Mahajan and State Industry Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya, among others, were present.

Ruling BJP has fielded sitting MLAs Sudarshan Gupta from Indore-1, Ramesh Mendola from Indore-2, Malini Gaud from Indore-4, Mahendra Hardia from Indore-5 and Jitu Jirati from Rau seat. Former party MLA Usha Thakur is contesting from Indore-3.
Meanwhile, sources in the office of Chief Electoral Officer said so far 2,010 candidates have filed their nominations in the state, which has a 230-member Assembly.
The last date of filing nominations is November 8.
