MP: Rs two lakh looted

Unidentified persons, dressed as policemen, today looted Rs two lakh from a peon of a cooperative society when he came out from a Cooperative Central Bank in Barwah town near here.

According to police, the culprits started conversation with Gopal Prajapati, the peon, when he came out of the bank after withdrawing money.

They diverted his attention and fled with the bag in which he had put the cash, Superintendent of Police N P Barkade said.

Prajapati, upset by the incident, was admitted to a government hospital.
