MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay to be discharged in 2-3 days

Admitted to a private hospital with acute grade E Pancreatitis and rupture of gall bladder with liver abscess, the condition of Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay is improving.

Apollo hospital's medical superintendent Dr Partho Bhattacharya said Bandoyopadhyay's condition is improving and his infection has settled down with resolving of acute pancreatitis.

"Liver abscess drainage has decreased, it has been decided for discharge of patient with drains in 2-3 days time and gall bladder surgery later this month," he said.

The 62-year-old MP was admitted to the hospital on December 26.
