After missing three easy scoring chances in the first 15 minutes of the game, MPHA managed to hit the net in the 24th minute when Ramngaihzuali Ralte successfully converted a penalty corner here at the Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai. MPHA led 1-0 at the half time.

They scored their second goal in the 49th minute with drag-flicker Shivani Singh converting another penalty corner.

A minute later Reena Kataria got a touch to a long hit from the centreline by Diksha Tiwari to score the third goal for MPHA.

Shivani then added another goal to her kitty through a direct pass from Priyanka Chandrawat in the 57th minute, while Ramngaihzuali also scored her second goal of the match in the 62nd minute.

MPHA goalkeeper Swati made some fine saves in the second half to deny any scoring opportunity to the opponents.

Delhi, on their part, missed out on a couple scoring chances.

"I'm not satisfied with our performance as we would have done better against Delhi. Our players lacked coordination and missed easy scoring chances. I was expecting my team to score at least 12 goals," Paramjeet Singh, coach of MPHA, said.

"We have to improve our coordination among the players before the semis," he added.
