In a bid to encourage consumers to pay electricity bill regularly, MP Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Ltd (MPMKVVCL) has launched an scheme to honour those who clear their power utility bills regularly by gifting them FMCG products.

The scheme is applicable to both online and offline consumers and the winners would be selected through a lucky draw, MKVVCL's senior Public Relation Officer said.

Government employees (consumers) are, however, excluded from the scheme.

For qualifying in the scheme, a consumer has to pay the electricity bill every month before last date for a period of year, company's Managing Director Vivek Porwal said.

Under the scheme, TV sets, mobile phones, food processor, induction cooker and other consumer durable items will be given to five winners of the lucky draw.

The first draw under the scheme will be held this month only, he added.
