Leader of Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, Satyadev Katare, today demanded that Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board should refund examination fee to the candidates who could not clear various selection tests because of the alleged scam.
"A total of 1.27 crore candidates have appeared for various examinations conducted by MPPEB and paid Rs 232 crore in fees," the Congress leader said.
"MPPEB should refund the fee to those who were unable to clear the tests due to the scam in the board," Katare said.

Demanding a CBI probe into the scam, Katare said, "the agitation launched against it by Congress was turning into a movement."
In a reference to the alleged irregularities in the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC), Katare alleged that the chief minister had entrusted all the powers of the board's Chairman to its secretary with the aim of controlling it.
