MPS group chairman Pramatha Nath Manna was today arrested.
"Pramatha Manna has cases against him in Bankura district. We have taken temporary custody. The police officers from Bankura are coming and we will hand him over to him," Joint CP (crime) Pallab Kanti Ghosh said.
Manna was arrested from the Shyamal Sen Commission office, where he arrived today after being summoned by the Commission in relation with chitfund cases against MPS group.
Sebi had directed MPS Greenery Developers in 2012 to close its collective investment schemes and refund investors within one month, failing which proceedings would be initiated against the entity and its senior officials.
