The Manonmaniam Sundaranar University here will undertake infrastructure development works at an outlay of Rs 30 crore granted by the University Grants Commission, a top official said today.
The grant would also help in upgradation of the university from the present 'B' to 'A' grade, its Vice-Chancellor K Baskar told reporters here.
He rejected allegations of irregularities in appointments various faculty members, saying they had been done by strictly following the UGC guidelines and in a transparent manner.
On valuation of answer scripts, he said the university would introduce decentralised valuation system so that the process would be completed in ten days and semester results would be published without any dealy.
