MSEDCL engineers, clerk charged for corruption

An FIR was registered here against two engineers and a junior clerk, posted at the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) office for their alleged irregularity, which caused loss to the company.

According to complaint filed by Special vigilance officer, MSEDCL, Akola Abhishek Deshpande at the Barshi Takli police station here yesterday, engineers Manoj Khandre and N A Khan and junior clerk Vijay Mankar were involved in corruption in implementing projects of setting up electricity poles, transformers and cables, with help of private engineers, inspector Barshi takli police.

The officer in his complaint said that all the three persons have been suspended after an internal inquiry.
 

Police has registered a case under section 468 (forgery), 472 (possessing counterfeit seal), 192 (a) (fabricating false evidence) and other relevant sections of the IPC.
