Nearly 93 micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs will invest Rs 300 crore in diverse units in North Bengal following an initiative launched jointly by the West Bengal government, Siliguri-Jalpaiguri Development Authority and North Bengal Zonal Council of CII.
"All issues like power tariff and land have been addressed after they submitted their proposals to the state government", Goutam Deb, the state North Bengal Development minister said at the three-day Synergy Siliguri meet at the north Bengal town today, the CII said in a release.
"This initiative encouraged the entrepreneurs to invest and set up units. I am sure more and more entrepreneurs will come forward and invest. I am also confident that the success of this initiative will be a model for others to emulate," Deb said.
