Though West Bengal is quite progressive in the MSME sector, infrastructure deficiencies in the state could lead to a bleak future, Union Minister for Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises (MSMEs) Kalraj Mishra today said.
"Bengal might be leading in the sector but the condition is alarming and future is uncertain as a large number of units are getting sick... This is because units are not getting land, power, water, communication," Mishra said while speaking at an interactive session organised by the Merchant Chamber of Commerce here.
According to the Minister though the state has 25 lakh MSME units, around 94 per cent of the them have no reach to the financial assistance.
