President-designate of BCCI Ambarish Dasgupta said the chamber was planning to project Kolkata as a "city of analytics" as the required talent pool was existent.
"Kolkata does have the potential in transforming itself into an analytical hub as the city was host to a number of renowned educational institutions," Dasgupta said.
What is needed is a push from both the government and the chambers of commerce, so that analytical companies, both big and small, are encouraged to set up base here, he said.
The chamber is also keen on facilitating business with neighbouring Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal.
