Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today visited Sopore to condole the bereaved family of veteran Congress leader Ghulam Rasool Kar, who died on Friday.
Paying rich tributes to Kar, Sayeed described him as a towering personality who spent his entire life in the service of the people.
"The void left behind by his demise will be difficult to fill," the Chief Minister said.

Sayeed expressed sympathies with the bereaved family on their great personal loss. He offered Fateha (prayers) for eternal peace to the departed soul.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Minister for Public Works Syed Altaf Bukhari and Minister for Technical Education Imran Raza Ansari.
Veteran Congress leader and former minister Ghulam Rasool Kar, who was a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Constituent Assembly in 1951, died on Friday after brief illness. He was 96.
