Young shuttler Riya Mukherjee emerged as the only Indian to qualify for the main draw in the women's singles at the Syed Modi Grand Prix Gold championship here today.
Mukherjee spanked Teenu Dahiya 21-1 21-7 in the opening round before seeing off Mugdha Agrey in the qualifying rounds. She will take on two-time bronze medallist at World Championship, P V Sindhu in the main draw.
Out of 31 Indians who played in the men's singles qualifiers, Utkarsh Arora, Kartik Jindal, Siddharth Jakhar, Satinder Malik, Sachin Rawat, Rupinder Singh, Ansal Yadav and Mohit Kamat made it to the main draw.

In men's doubles, two Indian pairs -- Alwin Francis and Kona Tarun, and Krishna Prasad Garaga and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy -- reached the main draw.
While Francis and Tarun defeated Arjun MR and Chirag Shetty 21-14 21-11, Krishna and Satwiksairaj beat Arun George and Santosh Ravuri 21-14 21-19.
In mixed doubles, Pranaav Chopra and N Sikki Reddy brushed aside K Nandagopal and J Meghana 21-12 21-14, Satwiksairaj and K Maneesha beat Satinder Malik and Teenu Dahiya 21-10 21-10 in another match.
Prajakta Sawant also combined with Malaysian Yogendran Khrishnan to reach the main draw with a 21-6 21-16 win over Brijesh Yadav and Sraddha Tiwari.
Four Indian women's doubles pair of Gauri Asaji and Saruni Sharma, S Poorvisha Ram and Arathi Sara Sunil, Ningshi Block Hazarika and Harika Veludurthi, and Farha Mather and Karishma Wadkar made the main draw of the event.
