Mukhiya arresed for taking Rs 10,000 as bribe

Acting on a complaint, a vigilance team headed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police M Kanishka Kumar laid a trap and caught the mukhiya Sadanand Prasad red-headed while he was accepting the bribe from two persons, Sudama Singh and Gulab Sah, Additional Director General of Police, Vigilance, P K Thakur said.

The accused person was being brought to Patna for interrogation and production before the vigilance court, he said.

Prasad had demanded the graft from the complainants Sudama Singh and Gulab Sah for recommending their application for assistance for house under the Indira Avas Yojana (IAY), Thakur said.
