Samajwadi party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, in a piece of advice, asked his son and UP CM Akhilesh Yadav to stay ahead of deadlines and strive to complete work before schedule.

Yadav who participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony of Sainik School here along with his son, said that he was "more interested in its inauguration".

"Now that the CM has laid the foundation stone, he should also tell the public the date of its inauguration," he said.

On this, Akhilesh Yadav assured that the school would be inaugurated on the same day next year.

Mulayam, however, asked the Chief Minister to complete the project within eight months.

The SP supremo said that he welcomed the CM and the government as Mainpuri was his 'karmbhoomi'.

"During elections I used to hold only one or two rallies and people used to ensure my victory. I was never required to ask for votes," he said.

Mulayam said that one district in every division should be developed as an ideal district and Mainpuri should top the list.
