Mulayam holds meeting with ministers in view of by-polls

Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today convened a meeting of his party leaders and ministers in the view of upcoming by-elections to a Lok Sabha and 12 assembly seats.

Mulayam held a discussion with senior party leaders and ministers and appointed incharges for all the 12 assembly seats, a minister, who attended the meeting, told PTI.

"Netaji has directed us to win all the 12 assembly seats where by-elections are due shortly," the minister said.

Senior cabinet minister Shivpal Singh Yadav has been made incharge of the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat, which has been vacated by Mulayam after he was elected to the Lok Sabha.
 

Tej Pratap Yadav would be contesting on SP's ticket from the seat.

The assembly by-elections are due in Saharanpur, Kairana, Charkhari, Lucknow east, Bijnore, Thakurdwara, Hamirpur, Rohania, Noida, Balha, Nighasan and Sirathu seats.
