Samajwadi Party once again maintained suspense on the issue of its expelled leader Amar Singh rejoining the party, saying the "question has no justification".

"Is prashn ka koi auchitya nahi hai" (This question has no justification)," SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav told reporters when asked about speculation that Singh was likely to join SP again.

Party leader Azam Khan, Singh's bete noire sitting next to Mulayam said, "Aisey shabd nahi bolte" (Never utter such words)."

Mulayam was addressing a press conference where former Union minister Beni Prasad Verma rejoined SP after leaving Congress.

Speculation is rife that Singh might rejoin the party.

He has been seen in SP functions and also makes frequent visits to residences of Mulayam and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
