Mulayam reviews SP's performance in bypolls

Samajwadi Party Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today reviewed the party's performance in the recently held bypolls in the state in a meeting with the party office bearers.

In the meeting, Yadav sought to know reasons behind party's defeat in the three assembly seats of Lucknow (east), Saharanpur and Noida from the ministers who were given charge of bypolls campaign in these seats.

"Netaji (Mulayam) sought to know the reasons for party's defeat in Lucknow (east), Saharanpur and Noida seats. We have apprised him of the ground reality," Cabinet Minister Ambika Chowdhury, who attended the meeting told reporters.

Of the 11 assembly seats, where bypolls were held on September 13, SP had won eight. These are: Charkhari, Bijnore, Thakurdwara, Hamirpur, Rohania, Balha, Nighasan and Sirathu seats.
 

During the meeting, Mulayam directed the party leaders to to go between people and try to resolve their problems.
