The Mumbai Congress will organise 500 'chowk sabhas' over the next two months to make people aware about the Centre's wrong moves like the Citizenship Amendment Act, National Register of Citizens and National Population Register.

Mumbai Congress chief Eknath Gaikwad said the chowk sabhas (street meetings) would also focus on the economic slowdown and rising unemployment in the country.

He said there was an "atmosphere of fear" in the country due to the BJP-led Union government.
