A 32-year-old man was allegedly

killed by three persons after a scuffle over marijuana in Mumbai, a police official said on Wednesday.

The incident took place on a skywalk near Cotton Green station in central Mumbai on Tuesday night when the deceased, Amin Patel, and his friend Bunty Kamble (34) were sitting and having a chat.

At that time, three persons came there and demanded a packet of marijuana from them, the official said.

When Patel told them that they did not possess the drug, the three accused had an argument with them and started beating both of them, he said.

One of the accused allegedly hit Patel on his head with a bamboo stick, causing bleeding injuries.

Patel collapsed and was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead, the official said.

Following a police complaint lodged by Kamble, the three accused were arrested, he added.
