Mumbai police has launched a drive to hunt down the killers of a 22-year-old TCS employee Archana Pandya, who was mowed down by an unknown vehicle in suburban Goregaon last week.

"We have launched a drive to nab the accused (driver) as well as the vehicle, and we have formed a special team for this purpose," said Deven Bharti, joint police commissioner (Law and Order) of Mumbai Police today.

The incident took place on Wednesday night in Goregaon following which the victim was found lying on the road unattended for about half an hour after she was hit by the vehicle.

We are investigating into the case and we are confident that we would nail the accused soon, Bharti told PTI denying further details.

The woman was crossing the road and was about to board an autorickshaw when the incident took place. Ironically, the police station was just 50 meters away from the place of the mishap.
