Mumbai police visit BKC ground

Deputy Police Commissioner (Zone VIII) Namdev Chavan, under whose jurisdiction the ground falls, visited the ground for the second consecutive day today after Mumbai Cricket Association representatives raised security concerns.

The MCA has said that there was no fence on the boundary of the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC)ground, leading to spectators jumping into the playing area.

The MCA has requested the BCCI to shift the game to D Y Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

"I have been to the ground today to understand the security concerns raised by the MCA. We will see how best the security can be arranged," Chavan said.
